Company History

Paul Strank and Sons Roofing Yard

Paul Strank formed his own company in November 1969. Initially he took on a wide range of general building projects. Although roofing was central to what he did, he undertook everything from building a garden wall on Pelham Road (SW19), to converting a loft on Merton High Street. In 1971 Paul decided to specialise in roofing, and the business has since gone from strength to strength.

In 1980 Paul became and approved member of the Federation of Master Builders (FMB). This accreditation provided recognition of the high standards of craftsmanship and professionalism on Paul Strank and Sons Roofing projects.

In 1986 Paul formed his own scaffold division using specially trained C.I.T.B scaffolders. After four more years of continued success, the business expanded into the retail trade, opening a roofing merchant store in 1990. The original store was located on Merton High Street, but in just three years the shop expanded and relocated to its current location at 22 Weir Road, Wimbledon, SW19 8UG.

Paul Strank and Sons Roofing is now a large successful company providing Scaffold Hire, Roofing Materials and Roofing Services to the South and Central London areas. We don`t use outside contractors all my staff are friendly and have been working for me for many years.

We aim to exceed client’s expectations with the excellent standards of work that many have become accustomed to. Many clients are so pleased with the quality of our roofing work that they return or recommend us to potential new clients. We have a superb record at achieving our customers aim, thus enabling us to grow into one of the leading roofing firms in London. In addition to this Paul's work and reputation has lead to a significant number of recommendations from Age Concern.

Over the years I have been trading I would guess that I have re-roofed approx 40 houses per road in Wimbledon and surrounding areas. We have maintained some of Wimbledon's listed buildings which include Eagle House, Wimbledon SW19 – Rectory House, SW19 – Church House, Merton Park to name just a few.
