On the 20th of October 2011 Paul Strank Roofing hosted a Charity Gala Ball & Dinner to raise money and awareness for two very worthwhile charitable organisations.
The first, Shooting Star Chase, provides hospices as well as support for families of terminally ill children. Further information can be seen at the Shooting Star Chase website.
The second, OneLife, is an organisation that is dedicated to helping disadvantaged children from the South London area. Paul Strank is a Patron of OneLife and further information can be found on the OneLife website.
The Gala night was a huge success and in total raised £36,000 for the two above organisations and the funds were evenly split.
Guests were invited to a Champagne Reception where they were able to meet and greet and mingle with various celebrities and dignitaries from the worlds of sport, music, film and local business and government.
Music was provided by OneLife & DanceAid DJs Wayne & Mete and there were live entertainment from Stavros Flatley and performances by Lemar and Beverly Knight, who just happened to drop by at the last minute.
An auction was delivered by Vicky Gomersall of Sky Sports News and her team in conjunction with Bid-Up TV's very own Andy Hodgson.
AFC Wimbledon participated by auctioning off the chance for bidders to shave their heads live on stage.
Mr Paul Strank won the chance to shave Ivor Heller's head for a whopping £8,000 bid.
